Glenys Parkinson's father Capt Evan Jones from Chwilog Nr Pwllheli North Wales was Third Mate on the Menethius in 1953 at the time of the explosion. She would be pleased to hear from anyone else who was on the ship at the same time or anyone who knew her father, who unfortunately passes away some 21 years ago. | Can anyone help? Joanne is looking for a relative who worked for 13 years for Blue Funnel. Unfortunately this relative is a bit of a mystery to her as he divorced her husband's grandmother back in 1945. She has been to the records office in Kew to find his services records . | John Todd is looking for anyone who knew Maxwell George Humber known as Maxie. Not sure what he did the time frame would be about 1964 he was a Canadian and had been in the Royal Navy. His son is looking for him and he has not seen his father since he left canada before the war. Email John Todd |
| BRIAN CASELEY served as a chief engineer with the Blue Funnel line between 1956 to 61, not sure which ships. Its Brian's 70th birthday on the 11th March and his son, Steve, is holding a big party for him. | Iain Macfarlane is looking for information on his half-uncle, James MacFarlane. james was employed for a long time with the "Blue Funnel Line", in Scotland. He was born round about 1900 and so probably is no longer around. It is possible that he was a captain. Can you help if so plaese email me and I will pass the info on. |
